Generalizability The ability to take the results of a study focusing on a sample of a population and to apply them to the overall population. ![]() Discipline An expectation that the researcher is thoughtful and methodical, following key standards and norms that are generally accepted by other researchers who use similar methodologies. ![]() Dependability An expectation that methods, logic, and reasoning guiding a study should be clear, stable, and consistent. Credibility An expectation that study results should be believable to critical readers, approved by participants, and otherwise true or accurate.
